ਪੰਥ ਰਤਨ ਬਨਾਮ ਬਾਦਲ ਰਤਨ

 

ਬੀਤੀ 25 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਪੰਥ ਦੇ ਗੌਰਵਮਈ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਰਤੀਮਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ‘ਵਿਰਾਸਤ-ਏ-ਖਾਲਸਾ' ਨੂੰ ਪੰਥ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੱਰਪਿੱਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਖਾਲਸੇ ਦੀ ਜਨਮ ਭੂਮੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ -ਏ-ਖਾਲਸਾ ਭਵਨ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖ ਪੰਥ ਦੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਸ਼ੁਭਚਿੰਤਕ ਦਰਸਾ ਕੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀਆ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਲੈਣ ਦੀ ‘ਆਸ' ਲਗਾਈ ਬੈਠੇ ਬਾਦਲਕਿਆ ਦੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਐਨਕ ਰਾਹੀ ਵੇਖੇ ਗਏ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬੁੱਧੀਜੀਵੀ ਵਰਗ ਕਾਫੀ ਔਖਾ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਅੜਿੰਗ ਵੜਿੰਗ ਹੋਏ ਬੁੱਧੀਜੀਵੀਆ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਬਾਦਲਕਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਕਿ ਬੁੱਧੀਜੀਵੀ ਵਰਗ ਤੇ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦਾ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਸੁਮੇਲ ਨਹੀ ਹੈ। ਵਿਰਾਸਤ-ਏ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕੌਮ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਅਜਾਇਬ ਘਰ ਤਾਂ ਜਰੂਰ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਪਰੰਤੂ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਰੂਹ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਖਾਲਸੇ ਦੇ 300 ਸਾਲਾ ਜਨਮ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ 300 ਫੁੱਟ ਉ¤ਚੇ ਖੰਡੇ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ ਹੋਣੀ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਗਾਇਬ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਰੋਪੜ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਜਰ ਆਉਣੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਦਾ ਅਸਲੀ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਗਾੜਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਦਿਆਨਦਾਰੀ ਨਹੀ ਸਗੋਂ ਅਫਸੋਸ ਨਾਲ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਪੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਖਾਲਸੇ ਦੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀਰ ਰਾਂਝਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਵਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਪੰਥ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਦੂਰ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਵਾਸਤਾ ਨਹੀ ਹੈ। ਹੀਰ-ਰਾਂਝਾ ਤੇ ਗੁੱਗਾ ਪੀਰ, ਕਿਹੜੇ ਖਾਲਸੇ ਦੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਹਨ, ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਬਾਦਲ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜਾਣਨ ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਪੰਥ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਅਖਵਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੰਥ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਰੂਰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਕਿ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਆਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਸਬੰਧ ਹੈ? ਪਰੰਤੂ ਜਵਾਬ ਮੰਗਣ ਤੇ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਅੱਜ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ, ਕਿਉਕਿ ਖਾਲਸੇ ਦੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਨੂੰ ‘ਇਕੱਲੇ' ਬਾਦਲ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਨਹੀ, ਸਗੋਂ ਲੱਗਪੱਗ ਸਾਰੀ ਕੌਮ ਹੀ ਭੁੱਲ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ, ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਬਾਦਲਕਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਚੇਤਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਕਿ, ਜਿਸ ਆਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ 24-25 ਦੀ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਸਤੀ ਸ਼ੋਹਰਤ ਲਈ ‘ਆਤਿਸ਼ਬਾਜ਼ੀ' ਚਲਾਈ, ਢੋਲ ਨਗਾਰੇ ਵਜਾਏ , ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਇਸ ਆਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਸਮੂਹ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਲੇਵਾ ਸੰਗਤ ਵੈਰਾਗਮਈ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਮਜਲੂਮਾਂ ਤੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੀਸ ਭੇਂਟ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਵਨ ਸੀਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੰਝੂਆ ਭਰੀਆ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਡੀਕ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਭਾਈ ਜੈਤਾ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਚਾਂਦਨੀ ਚੌਕ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਹੋ ਦਾਹੀ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੱਲ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ‘‘ਬਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ'' ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਰਾਏ, ਵੈਰਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੁੱਬੀਆ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸੀਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ‘ਨਤਮਸਤਕ' ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਰਤਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੱਲ ਕੜਾਕੇ ਦੀ ਠੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੰਗੇ ਪੈਰੀ, ਚਾਲ ਪਾ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਸਨ। ਭਾਂਵੇ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ, ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਵੈਰਾਗਮਈ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਹੈ। ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕਾਰ ਬੈਨਰਜੀ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ‘‘ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਜੀ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਸਨ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਵਿਧੀ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਸਿਖੀ।'' ਪੰਡਿਤ ਮਦਨ ਮੋਹਨ ਮਾਲਵੀਆ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ, ‘‘ ਜੇਕਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਨਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਹਿੰਦ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ ਹੀ ਮਿੱਟ ਜਾਣਾ ਸੀ।'' ਬਚਿੱਤਰ ਨਾਟਕ ਦੇ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਦਸਵੇਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਫਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਦਿਆ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ:-
‘‘ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਸੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਆ ਕਰੀ ਨਾ ਕਿਨਹੂ ਆਨ।
ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਕੇ ਚਲਤ ਭਇਉ ਜਗਤ ਮੈਂ ਸੋਕ।
ਹੈ ਹੈ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਜਗ ਭਯੋ, ਜੈ ਜੈ ਜੈ ਸੁਰ ਲੋਕ''॥
ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋਰ ਧਰਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਸਿਰਫ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਅਕੀਦੇ ਤੇ ਫਲਸਫੇ ‘ਤੇ ਅਟੱਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਜੀ ਹੀ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਧਰਮ ਨਿਭਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਹੱਕ ਦਿਵਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਸੋਚ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਨੂੰ ਬਲੀਦਾਨ ਦਿਵਸ ਵਜੋਂ ਮਨਇਆ ਜ੍ਯਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਕਿ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਬਲੀਦਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਅਫਸੋਸ਼ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਮਹਾਨ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ 24 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਦੀ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਥਾਂ ਥਾਂ ਰੈਣ ਸੂਬਾਈ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਵੈਰਾਗਮਈ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀਆ ਰਹੀਆ ਸਨ। ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਦਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰੂਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ (ਬਾਦਲ) ਕੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਾਹਸ ਦੇ ਲਹੂ ਭਿੱਜੇ ਪੰਨਿਆ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਨਹੀ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੈ-ਜੈ ਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਲਾਲਸਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਰ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਯਾਦ ਨਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ? ਖਾਲਸੇ ਦੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਖਾਲਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਂਪਣ ਦਾ ਸਹੀ ਦਿਹਾੜਾ ਤਾਂ ਭਾਂਵੇ ਖਾਲਸੇ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਦਿਹਾੜਾ ਵਿਸਾਖੀ ਦਾ ਦਿਵਸ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਸੀ ਪਰੰਤੂ ਵੋਟ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਉਸ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਡੀਕ ਨਹੀ ਸਕਦੀ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਦੀਆ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਫਰਵਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣੀਆ ਲੱਗਪੱਗ ਤਹਿ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਵੋਟ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਅੱਗੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਚੋਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਤਾਂ ਬਾਦਲਕਿਆ ਲਈ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ-ਏ-ਖਾਲਸਾ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਦੀ ਬੱਲੇ ਬੱਲੇ ਦਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਅਰਥ ਨਹੀ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਅਫਸੋਸ ਨਾਲ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਪੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਖਾਲਸੇ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਵਿਸਾਖੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਡੀਕ ਨਹੀ ਸਕਦੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘੱਟੋ ਘੱਟ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਤੋਂ ਇਹ ਜਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਅੱਗੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਕਰ ਲੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਸੀ।
ਸਿਆਣੇ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਮੱਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੱਲੇ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਗੁਆਾਢੀਆ ਕੋਲੋ ਲੈ ਲੈਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਇਥੇ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਿਆ ਕਿਉਕਿ ਬਾਦਲਕਿਆ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਬਠਿੰਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਕਬੱਡੀ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਸਿੱਖ ਨਸ਼ਲਕੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਫਤੇ ਦਾ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਅੱਧ ਨੰਗੀਆ ਮੁਟਿਆਰਾਂ ਕੋਲੋ ਨੰਗੇ ਨਾਚ ਕਰਵਾ ਕੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਜਜਬਾਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਚਲਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਤੋ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਬਾਦਲਕਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਨਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਜਾਣ ਬੁੱਝ ਕੇ ਗਲਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਨਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਸੇ ਤਰਾ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ-ਏ-ਖਾਲਸਾ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਪਣ ਸਮੇਂ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਗਲਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਥ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਨਿਭਾਈਆ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਤੋਂ ‘‘ਪੰਥ ਰਤਨ ਫਖਰੇ-ਏ-ਕੌਮ'' ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਾਰੀਆ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਪਾਰਟੀਆ ਨੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ‘ਪੰਥ ਰਤਨ' ਦੀ ਉਪਾਧੀ ਸਿਰਫ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਂ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਪੰਥ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਵੱਡਾ ਮਾਅਰਕਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਪਦਵੀ ਵੀ ਮਰਨ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਕਿ ਜਿਉਦੇ ਜੀਅ ਇਹ ਪਦਵੀ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਕੋਈ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਗਲਤੀ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਬੈਠੇ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਬੇਅਦਬੀ ਹੋਵੇ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੋਂ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਕੇਵਲ ਮਰਨ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਹੀ ਪੰਥ ਰਤਨ ਦੇ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਾਦਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਦੇ ਜੀਅ ਇਹ ਉਪਾਧੀ ਦੇਣੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਥਕ ਨਹੀ ਕਹਿਲਾ ਸਕਦੀ। ਕਾਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਹਾਂਪੁਰਖ ਬਾਬਾ ਹਰਬੰਸ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਉਪਾਧੀ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁਸਿਹਰੇ ਤੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਸੱਤ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਜ ਤੱਕ ਇਹ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਉਪਰਾਲਾ ਨਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਗ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਹਜਾਰਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰਧਾਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਾਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਵਾ ਕੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਪੰਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਇਆ। ਜੇਕਰ ਬਾਦਲ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਾ ਹਰਬੰਸ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਉਪਾਧੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਨਿਆਂਸੰਗਤ ਨਹੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰੂਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਮੱਕੜ ਤੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਗੁਰਬਚਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਕਦਾਚਿੱਤ ਭੁੱਲਣਾ ਨਹੀ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਭਾਈ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਇਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਹਿ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਬਾਦਲ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਥ ਰਤਨ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਧੀ ਨਹੀ ਸਗੋਂ ‘ਗਦਾਰ-ਏ-ਕੌਮ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਧੀ ਦੇਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬਾਦਲ ਨੂੰ ‘ਫਖਰੇ-ਏ-ਕੌਮ ਪੰਥ ਰਤਨ' ਦੀ ਉਪਾਧੀ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆ ਨੇ ਜਨਰਲ ਡਾਇਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਰਬਰਾਹ ਅਰੂੜ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਾਤ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬਾਦਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਕਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਨਹੀ ਗਿਣਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਪੰਥ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਲਈ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰਾ ਸ੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ (ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ) ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸਿਮਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬਾਦਲ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਥ ਰਤਨ ਨਹੀ ਸਗੋਂ ‘ਹਿੰਦੂ ਰਤਨ' ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਾਂਸ਼ੀ, ਦੁਆਰਕਾ, ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਨਾਗਪੁਰ (ਆਰ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ) ਦਾ ਰਤਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਯਾਰੀ ਹੈ। ਦਿੱਲੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰੂਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਤੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਸ਼ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਧਾਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਰਨਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਬਾਦਲ ਵਰਗੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਸ਼ਲਕੁਸ਼ੀ ਕਰਨ ਬਦਲੇ ਪੰਥ ਰਤਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ‘‘ਪੰਥ ਰਤਨ ਨਹੀ ਕੇਵਲ ਬਾਦਲ ਰਤਨ'' ਹੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬਾਦਲ 1970 ਵਿੱਚ ਜਦੋ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨਕਸਲਾਈਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਤਲ ਕੀਤੇ। ਸਾਕਾ ਨੀਲਾ ਤਾਰਾ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਫੌਜੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਬਗਾਵਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਫੌਜੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਕੇਵਲ ਮਰਵਾਇਆ ਹੀ ਨਹੀ ਸਗੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਸੈਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਜਾਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਲਈ ਬਾਦਲ ਹੀ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਅੱਤਵਾਦ ਦੇ ਕਾਲੇ ਦੌਰ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਹੱਲਾ ਸ਼ੇਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਰੱਖੀ ਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਬਾਤ ਤੱਕ ਨਹੀ ਪੁੱਛੀ ਗਈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਸੱਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣ ਤੋ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਹ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਅੱਤਵਾਦ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਝੂਠੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਸਜਾਵਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆ ਜਾਣਗੀਆ ਪਰ ਬਾਦਲ ਨੇ ਸੱਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਸਜਾਵਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਕੇਵਲ ਤਰੱਕੀਆ ਹੀ ਨਹੀ ਦਿੱਤੀਆ ਸਗੋਂ ਦਾਗੀ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਅਫਸਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੇਵਾ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕਟਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ । ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਦੀਆ ਦੀਆ ਰੁਜਗਾਰ ਮੰਗਦੀਆ ਧੀਆ ਭੈਣਾਂ ਦੀਆ ਗੁੱਤਾਂ ਬਾਦਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਪੁੱਟ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਕੌਂਮ ਕਦੇ ਦੂਸਰੀਆ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੀਆ ਧੀਆ ਭੈਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਬਾਦਲ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਅੱਖੀ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਜੇਤੂ ਜਰਨੈਲ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਮੁਸਕਰਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਥੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਥ ਰਤਨ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਫਿਰ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਨਹੀ ਤਾਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਅਨਰਥ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਿਲਾ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਗਤਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ।
‘ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਇੱਕ ਜੱਟ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦੂਕ ਫੜੀ ਬੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਬਾਣੀਆ ਖਾਲੀ ਸੀਟ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਬੈਠ ਗਿਆ। ਕੁਝ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਬੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਦੀ ਠੰਡੀ ਹਵਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਜੱਟ ਨੂੰ ਨੀਂਦ ਆ ਗਈ ਤੇ ਬੰਦੂਕ ਜੱਟ ਦੇ ਮੋਢੇ ਤੋਂ ਖਿਸਕਦੀ ਖਿਸਕਦੀ ਬਾਣੀਏ ਦੇ ਮੋਢੇ ਤੇ ਜਾ ਡਿੱਗੀ। ਬਾਣੀਏ ਬੰਦੂਕ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਘਬਰਾ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜੱਟ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਜੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲੋ। ਜੱਟ ਨੇ ਮੁੜ ਬੰਦੂਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੋਢੇ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਲਈ ਤੇ ਚੰਦ ਮਿੰਟਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੀ ਮੁੜ ਗੂੜੀ ਨੀਦ ਸੌਂ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਬੰਦੂਕ ਮੁੜ ਉਸ ਬਾਈਏ ਤੇ ਜਾ ਡਿੱਗੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕਦੇ ਬੰਦੂਕ ਹੱਥ ਲਗਾ ਕੇ ਵੀ ਨਹੀ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਬਾਣੀਏ ਨੇ ਜੱਟ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਜਗਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਬੰਦੂਕ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ। ਇਸ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੱਟ ਨੇ ਬਾਈਏ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਲਾਲਾ ਜੀ ਕਿਉ ਘਬਰਾਉਦੇ ਹੋ, ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਖਾਲੀ ਹੈ। ਅੱਗੋਂ ਬਾਣੀਏ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਜੀਤੁਸੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਬੰਦੂਕ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਭਾਲੋ , ਖਾਲੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਮਾੜੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਖਾਲੀ ਵੀ ਚੱਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇੰਨਾ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਬਾਣੀਆ ਅਗਲੇ ਸਟਾਪ ‘ਤੇ ਬੱਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਥੱਲੇ ਉ¤ਤਰ ਗਿਆ।
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਗੁਰਬਚਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅਵਾਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਮੱਕੜ ਵੱਲੋ ਇਹ ਦਲੀਲ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਾਦਲ ਚਾਰ ਵਾਰੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਦੀਆ ਯਾਦਗਾਰਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਨਹੀ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆ ਦਲੀਲਾਂ ਠੀਕ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਕੀ ਉਹ ਦੱਸਣ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਤਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਕਿ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਦੀਆ .ਯਾਦਗਾਰਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆ ਗਈਆ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਤੱਕ ਕਿਸੇ ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪੰਥ ਰਤਨ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜੇਕਰ ਨਹੀ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਾਦਲ ਇਸ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਦੇ ਹੱਕਦਾਰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਤੇ ਕਿਉ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਹਨ? ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮੱਕੜ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਯਾਦ ਜਰੂਰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਰੀਬ 92 ਸਾਲ ਬੀਤ ਜਾਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਵੀ 1919 ਵਿੱਚ ਜਨਰਲ ਡਾਇਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰੋਪਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੱਤਕਾਲੀ ਸਰਬਰਾਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਅਰੂੜ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਮੜੀ ਤੇ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਲੋਕ ਛਿੱਤਰ ਮਾਰੀ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਕਈ ਵਾਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਡ ਵਡੇਰੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਗਲਤੀ ਦੀ ਮੁਆਫੀ ਮੰਗ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ (ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ) ਦੇ ਪਰਧਾਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸਿਮਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੋਹਤਰੇ ਹਨ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਪੰਥ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਮੁਆਫ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਨਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਸੋ ਇੰਜ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਬਾਦਲ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਨਹੀ ਦੇ ਰਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆ ਦੇ ਫੋਕੇ ਫਾਇਰ ਵੀ ਟਿਕਾਣੇ ‘ਤੇ ਲੱਗੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬੇਲੋੜਾ ਵਿਵਾਦ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਣੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕੋਲੋ ਗਲਤੀਆ ਹੋ ਰਹੀਆ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਜਾਣ ਬੁੱਝ ਕੇ ਕਰਵਾਈਆ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆ ਹਨ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਾਦਲ ਹੀ ਬੇਹਤਰ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਪਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਜਗਾ ਗੜਬੜ੍ਹ ਜਰੂਰ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕੋਲੋ ਗਲਤੀਆ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲਣਗੇ ਜਾਂ ਸਾਥ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦਾ ਪੱਲੂ ਫੜ ਲੈਣਗੇ ਇਹ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੀ ਬੁੱਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੁਪਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਬਾਦਲ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਪੰਥ ਰਤਨ ਸਹੀ ਲਫਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਥ ਰਤਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਬਾਦਲ ਰਤਨ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕਾਰ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਗੇ ਕਿਉਕਿ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਨੇ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਆਫ ਨਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਤਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਕਰਮ ਅਤਿੰਦਰਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਤਾਨੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਮਾਨਸਿਕਤਾ’ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖੀ” ਹੱਥੋਂ “ਪੰਥ” ਨੂੰ ਹਰਵਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਰਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ” ਹੱਥੋਂ “ਗੁਰਮਤਿ” ਦਾ ਭੋਗ ਪਵਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕੋਈ ਮੰਨੇ ਚਾਹੇ ਨਾ ਮੰਨੇ ਲੀਡਰਾਂ ਦੇ ‘ਮੁਜ਼ਾਰਿਆਂ’ ਨੇ ਧਰਮ” ਦਾ ਸੋਹਿਲਾ ਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ” ਦੇ ਘਰ ਜੰਮੇ ‘ਲੋਕਾਂ’ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਲ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣੀ ਦਾ ‘ਸੰਖ’ ਵਜਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸਾਧਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਟੋਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ “ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ” ਦੀ “ਸੰਗਤ” ਦਾ ਭੋਗ ਪੁਆ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਡੰਮ੍ਹ ਦੇ ‘ਸੀਰੀਆਂ’ ਨੇ ਵੇਖੋ ਖ਼ਾਲਸੇ ਦੀ ਇੱਟ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਟਾ ਖੜਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ “ਸਚਹੁ ਓਰੈ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਉਪਰਿ ਸਚੁ ਆਚਾਰੁ” ਦਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਵੇਖ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੇ ਸੀਵਾ ਬਾਲ ਦਿਤਾ “ਰਹਿਤ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਮੁਝ ਕੋ ਸਿੱਖ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਨਾਹਿ” ਕਹਿ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਮੁਜ਼ਾਰਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਰਦਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਸੀ ਕਲਗੀਆਂ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਵੇਖ ਤੇਰੇ ਬੋਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਜ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੁਰਹਿਤੀਏ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਸਰੇ ਰਾਹ ਮਖੌਲ ਉਡਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥ “ਅਜਾਤਿ ਹੈ ਅਜਾਦਿ ਹੈ” ਵਾਲੇ ਪੰਥ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਦੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਲਈ ਜੱਟਵੈੜਵਾਦ ਦੀ ਨਿਹਾਇਤ ਲਾਲਚੀ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਸੇਵਕੀ ਨੇ “ਮਨਮਤਿ” ਤੇ “ਬਿਪਰਨ ਕੀ ਰੀਤ” ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਝੂਲਤੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਰਹੈ ਪੰਥ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ‘ਦਾਰੂ’ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੜ ਆਪਣੇ ‘ਰੀ ਬੌਕ’ ਦੇ ਬੂਟ ਥੱਲੇ “ਪਤਿਤਾ” “ਤਨਖ਼ਾਹੀਆਂ” ਤੇ “ਸਿਰ ਗੁੰਮਾਂ” ਦੀ ਭੀੜ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਰਬੰਸ ਵਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਧੋਲ਼ ਕੇ ਅੱਜ ਫੇਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਹਿਸਾਨ ਫਰਮੌਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੇ ਧੀਆਂ ਭੈਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਚਾਰ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ‘ਸਰਬੰਸ ਦਾਨੀਆਂ ਵੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਕੌਣ ਦਉਗਾ ਦੇਣਾ’ ‘ਢੋਲਕੀਆਂ’ ‘ਚਿਮਟੇ’ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਰਲ਼ ਕੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤੇਰੇ “ਖੰਡੇ” “ਬਾਟੇ” ਨੂੰ ਵੰਗਾਰ ਕੇ ਖ਼ਾਲਸੇ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਤੇ ਕਲੰਕ ਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਦੇ ਵਹਿੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਨਸਲਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੰਡੇ ਬੀਜ ਕੇ ‘ਮੋਨਿਆਂ’ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿਛਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥ ਰੱਬਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਮੁਆਫ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਕਿੰਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ‘ਬਾਦਲ’ ਕਿਸੇ ‘ਸੰਤ ਸਾਧ’ ਕਿਸੇ ‘ਡੇਰਾ

ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੇਰ

ਜਿੰਦਗੀ, ਅਣਖ ਤੇ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਲਈ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਂਝਾਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਤਨਦੇਹੀ, ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ਦਾ ਜਜਬਾ, ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ, ਆਦਰਸ਼ਕ ਜੀਵਨ, ਨੈਤਿਕ ਕਦਰਾਂ-ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਬੜਾ ਕੁਝ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।ਮੈਂ ਪਿਛਲੇ 10 ਕੁ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਰੂਪ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹਾਂ। ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਚੱਲੇ ਜਾਂ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ਾਂ  ਤੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ਸ਼ੀਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਬੜੀ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਤੁਸੀ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਨਾ ਵੀ ਹੋਵੋ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਜਜਬਾਤੀ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਸਾਂਝ ਜਿਹੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੀ ਹੀ ਇਕ ਸਾਂਝ ਬਣੀ ਲਿਬੀਆ ਦੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ਸ਼ੀਲ ਉਮਰ-ਉਲ-ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਨਾਲ। ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ  1862 ਵਿਚ ਅਪਰੀਕੀ ਮਹਾਂਦੀਪ ਦੇ ਅਜੋਕੇ ਲੀਬੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਿਰੇਨਾਇਕਾ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਬਰਕ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕ ਪਿੰਡ ਜੰਜ਼ੌਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੀਫਾ ਕਬੀਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਮਦਰੱਸੇ ਵਿਚ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੇ ਗੁੱਝੇ ਭੇਦ ਸਮਝਾਉਂਦਾ ਤੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ।ਉਸਨੇ 1911 ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ 1931 ਤੱਕ 20 ਸਾਲ ਇਟਲੀ ਦੇ ਤਾਨਾਸ਼ਾਹ ਰਾਜ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਚਲਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਚਾੜ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।10 ਫਰਵਰੀ 1947 ਨੂੰ ਇਟਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੀਬੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਲੰਮੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਯੂ. ਐੱਨ.ਓ ਤੋਂ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਮਿਲਣ ਉਪਰੰਤ 24 ਦਸੰਬਰ 1951  ਨੂੰ ਲੀਬੀਆ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਦੇਸ਼ “ਯੁਨਾਈਟਡ ਕਿੰਗਡਮ ਆਫ ਲੀਬੀਆ” ਐਲਾਨਿਆ।ਅੱਜ ਲੀਬੀਆ ਦੇ 10 ਦਿਨਾਰ ਦੇ ਨੋਟ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਦੀ ਫੋਟੋ ਦੇਖੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਫਿਲਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੋ ਜੋ ਸਾਂਝਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗੀਆ ਉਹ ਪਾਠਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਗੁਰੀਲਾ ਜੰਗ ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਥੋੜੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਜੁਝਾਰੂਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਟਲੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਫੌਜਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਗੁਰੀਲਾ ਜੰਗ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਂਜ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਇੰਝ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ 18ਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਵਿਚ ਖ਼ਾਲਸੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇੰਝ ਹੀ ਅਹਿਮਦ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਬਦਾਲੀ ਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਧਿਆ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਜੰਗੀ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਸਹਿਜ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਦੇਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਸੋਲਿਨੀ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਜਾਲਮ ਜਨਰਲ ਰੋਡਾਲਫੋ ਗਾਜ਼ਿਆਨੀ ਜੋ ਕਿ 'ਫੈਜ਼ਾਨ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਚੜ' ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਸੀ, ਦੀ ਵੀ ਜੀਭ ਦੰਦਾਂ ਥੱਲੇ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਨੈਤਿਕ ਕਦਰਾਂ-ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਨੈਤਿਕ ਕਦਰਾਂ-ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਬੜਾ ਹੀ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਪਰ ਔਖਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਪੰਥ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਰਹਿਤ ਬਖਸ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਜੰਗੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵੀ ਕਦਰਾਂਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਸਖਤ ਹਦਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਿਵੇ ਕਿ ਕਾਜ਼ੀ ਨੂਰ ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਲਿਖਤਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਭੱਜੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਦੀ ਬਹੂ-ਬੇਟੀ ਦਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ-ਭੈਣ-ਧੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੀ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਚੱਲੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਜੰਟ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੁੱਧ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਚ ਚਰਿੱਤਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਥਾਵਾਂ ਸੁਣਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਕ ਥਾਂ ਇਟਲੀ ਦੇ ਫੌਜੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਧਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਜੰਗ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਇਕ ਮੁੱਛ ਫੁੱਟ ਫੌਜੀ ਅਫਸਰ ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਹੱਥਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਸਾਥੀ ਉਸ ਅੱਲੜ ਫੌਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਫੌਜੀ ਗੱਡੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੱਗਾ ਇਟਲੀ ਦਾ ਝੰਡਾ ਪਾੜਨ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਨਿਹੱਥਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਗੋਲੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਲਾਉਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਝੰਡੇ ਦੀ ਬੇਅਦਬੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੁਝਾਰੂ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਇਟਾਲੀਅਨ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਕਿ “ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਿੱਖੀਏ” ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਧੂਹ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿਚਲੇ ਉਸ ਵਾਕੇ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਦਮਦਮਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ’ਤੇ ਭਾਈ ਡੱਲੇ ਨੇ ਦਸ਼ਮੇਸ਼ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਵਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੁਗ਼ਲ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਧੀਕੀਆਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਾ ਕਰੀਏ? ਤਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ ‘ਮੋਹਿ ਨੀਚਨ ਕੀ ਰੀਸ ਨਾਹੀ’ ਤੇ ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿਚ ਜੂਨ ਤੇ ਨਵੰਬਰ 1984 ਵਿਚ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਬੇਪੱਤੀ ਦਾ ਬਦਲਾ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਗਲਤ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਨੈਤਿਕ ਕਦਰਾਂ-ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਝਮਡਾ ਸਾੜਨ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਤਰਜੀਹ ਖਾਲਸਈ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਾਹਿਬਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਲਾਲ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਝੁਲਾਉਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਦੇਣੀ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਜਬਰ ਮੁਸੋਲਿਨੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਫੌਜਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਜਬਰ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਲੱਗਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁਝ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਮੁਸੋਲਿਨੀ ਵਲੋਂ ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਈ ਜਨਰਲ ਭੇਜੇ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਹਾਰਾਂ ਖਾ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਮਰ-ਖਪ ਗਏ।ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਮੁਸੋਲਿਨੀ 'ਫੈਜ਼ਾਨ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਚੜ' ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਜਨਰਲ ਰੋਡਾਲਫੋ ਗਾਜ਼ਿਆਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਚਲਣ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਨਿਯੁਕਤੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੀ ਦਿਨ ਵੱਡੇ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਝੱਲਣੇ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਉਹ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਨੀਤੀ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਜ਼ਾਲਮ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਾਗੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਅਪਣਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਜੁਲਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੌਰ ਚਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਸਾਥੀ ਜੁਝਾਰੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਨ-ਪਾਣੀ ਤੇ ਆਸਰਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਜੁਲਮੀ-ਦੌਰ ਦੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਚਲਣ ਲਈ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਘਟੀਆ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਅਪਣਾਈਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਾਫੀ ਵਰਣਨ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜਿੰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਸੁਖਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੁੱਖਾ ਨੇ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦਾ ਰੱਸਾ ਚੁੰਮਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਖੀ ਚਿੱਠੀ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਧੀਆਂਭੈਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੇਪੱਤੀ, ਘਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਜਾੜਾ, ਅਨਾਜ ਤੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗਾਂ, ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਖੂਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸੀਮੈਂਟ ਭਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਕੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਇਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਖਵੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰਨੀਆਂ, ਤਸ਼ੱਦਦ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਦਿ ਅਦਿ…। ਫਿਲਮ ਵਿਚ ਗਾਜ਼ਿਆਨੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੀ ਜੰਗ ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਜਾਂ ਉਸਦੇ 200 ਕੁ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਵਸੋਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਾਲਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਾਗੀਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵੱਧ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਗਵਾਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਛੋਟੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਧ ਛਕਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਭਾਈ ਮੋਤੀ ਰਾਮ ਮਹਿਰਾ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸਣੇ ਕੋਹਲੂ ਵਿਚ ਪੀੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਲੋਕ ਹਮਇਤ ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਦੀ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾ, ਹੌਸਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੰਮੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਉਸਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਕੁ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਨ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਹਿ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਉਸਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਦਿੱਤਾ।ਲੋਕ ਮਰਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਪਰਵਾਣ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੂਹ ਫੋਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ।ਜਦੋਂ ਜਾਲਮ ਗਾਜ਼ਿਆਨੀ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘਰੋਂ ਬੇ-ਘਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਕੈਂਪਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਲੈ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਬੱਚੇ, ਬੁੱਢੇ ਤੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ, ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਤਿ ਘਟੀਆ ਹਾਲਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਕੱਢਦੇ ਸਨ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਬਦਲੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਵੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਨਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਜਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਲ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਚੜਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਅੱਵਲ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ,   ਸਿਆਸਤ ਤੇ  ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਹਥਿਆਰਬੰਦ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕਈ ਵੱਡੇ ਝਟਕਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਟੇਬਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਗੱਲ ਮੁਕਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਦੋ ਧਿਰੀ ਸੰਧੀ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਅਸਵਾਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਘੋੜਾ। ਧਰਮ ਯੁੱਧ ਮੋਰਚੇ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਜੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆ ਸਨ ਪਰ ਟੇਬਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਹਿੱਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਿੱਜ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਰੱਖ ਲਿਆ। ਟੇਬਲ ਟਾਕ ਵਿਚ ਮੁਹਾਰਤ ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਨੇ ਇਟਾਲੀਅਨ ਫੌਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧੂੜਾਂ ਚਟਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਜਨਰਲ ਗਾਜ਼ਿਆਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਜਹਾਜਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਤੋਪਾਂ-ਟੈਂਕਾਂ ਮੰਗਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸਮਾਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਦੀ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਜਾਲਮ ਤੇ ਬਦਨੀਤੀ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਸਿਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੜ੍ਹੀ ਪਰ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੇਸ ਤੇ ਅਹਿਮ ਹੱਕ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਰੱਖੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਕਾਬਿਲੇ-ਤਾਰੀਫ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਦਰੱਸੇ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਹੱਕ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹਰ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਆਗੂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਦੀ ਵਾਗਡੋਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਚਿਰ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਚਲਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਦੀ ਵਾਗਡੋਰ ਵੀ ਅਗਲੀ ਪੀੜੀ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸੰਭਾਲੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਦੇ ਵਾਰਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਲਗਾਤਾਰਤਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਉਸਦੇ ਵਾਰਸ ਕਾਇਮ ਕਰਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਜਰੂਰੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਬਾਖੂਬੀ ਪਤਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਕ ਜੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੈਂਪ ਵਿਚ ਵਾਪਸ ਪਰਤਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਇਕ ਛੋਟਾ ਬੱਚਾ ਅਲੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਘੋੜਾ ਖਾਲੀ ਵਾਪਸ ਪਰਤਿਆ ਨਜ਼ਰੀ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਤੀ ਜੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਲਈ ਸਾਂਭ ਕੇ ਰੱਖੇ।ਭਾਵ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਹੈ। ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਜਾਲਮ ਇਟਾਲੀਅਨ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ 20 ਸਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਜੂਝਿਆ ਪਰ ਅੰਤ 11 ਸਤੰਬਰ 1931 ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਗ ਦੇ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿਚ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਟਲੀ ਨੇ ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਦੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਬੜੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਰਸਾਇਆ।3 ਦਿਨ ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਮੁਕੱਦਮਾ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਤੇ 14 ਸਤੰਬਰ 1931 ਨੂੰ ਅਦਲਾਤ ਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਸੁਣਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਨੂੰ 16 ਸਤੰਬਰ 1931 ਨੂੰ ਲਿਬੀਆ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਬੈੱਨਗਾਜ਼ੀ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕ ਸੌਲੂਕਉਨ ਦੇ ਤਸੀਹਾ ਕੈਂਪ ਵਿਚ ਉਸਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ।ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਫਿਲਮ ਵਿਚ ਉਸਦੀ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ ਬਾ-ਕਮਾਲ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਤੇ ਭਾਵਕ ਗੱਲ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦੇਣ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਕੁਰਾਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਆਇਤਾਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਛੋਟੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਅਲੀ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਨੇ ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਹੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਜੱਲਾਦ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋ ਕੁਰਾਨ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਵੱਲ ਬੰਨ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਉਮਰ ਮੁਖਤਾਰ ਦੀ ਐਨਕ ਉਸਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਜੱਲਾਦ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਸਾ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਹੇਠੋਂ ਫੱਟਾ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਐਨਕ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ Once again, the time has come when your morally and ethically devoid foreign diplomatic machinery, and alleged ambassadors of India and your administration, will be stepping up their hate compaign against the Sikhs under the disguise of the 8th anniversary of the illfated Air India flight 182 that took off from the pious land of Canada. Although the politically dominated Indian judiciary system has been serving its New Delhi masters well, delivering the judgement in New Delhi’s favour by holding the Sikhs responsible for AI 182, no other court has yet concluded that the Sikhs have been responsible for the mishap that happened off the coast of Ireland. You, as home minister in mid 1980s, along with the Indian administration, have been engaged in using your propaganda machinery (news papers, Indian television or doordarshan, sending cultural and sports teams and journalists like Jagjit Singh Anand abroad, academics who speaks the language of brahmins, or high class bigots, slander Sikh gurus and their teachings) to slander, persecute, terrorize and torture the Sikhs since “Operation Blue Star” of June, 1984. However, Indian administrations including your own, have shed no light on the state run airline system. In foreign newsmedia, Indian Airlines flights are aptly referred to as “flying coffins”, especially when one considers what has happened during the airline’s operation in the first six months of 1993. I was wondering if you or your board of enquiries have as yet decided which group you wish to link these unfortunate events with, the Sikhs or Muslims?

I am particularly interested to know, assuming you would care to answer this letter, whether the incident that took place in the late 1970s at the Bombay airport for a scheduled Air India flight to a middle east country, in which then prime minister Indira Gandhi was travelling, was also caused by the Sikhs or by some disgruntled Air India employee(s). According to the findings of a one man commission, conducted by a judge of Maharashtra High Court, the first aircraft (upon which boarding had taken place and Indira Gandhi and her entourage were on board) did not start despite an Air India maintenance crew’s 3 hours struggle to fix the problem. After this struggle, a second aircraft was towed in, passengers, baggage and cargo was reloaded, but the second aircraft did not start. A third aircraft was brought in and the scheduled flight took off to its destination after the delay of several hours. The findings, as I recall, of the commission were that in the first craft electrical wires were found cut and the second aircraft had more water the aviation fuel. Did the enquiry commission conclude that the Sikhs were responsible, under Indian norms, for the electrical wires and high water ratio in the aviation fuel, or did some disgruntled maintenace employee(s) want to play with the lives of innocent but non-political passengers or was it because Indira (a corrupt, morally and etically bankrupt person) happened to be one of the politicians on board, who had no regard for the Indian masses.

Since the late 1970s and partucularly since June 1984, what argument or explaination can you advance for the Air India 182 diaster not being a creation of the Rajiv Gandhi, his administration (of which you were a member) and Indian Research and Analysis Wing, the latter which is beleived to be responsible to only the prime minister. Indicators clearly point out that it was done to slander the Sikhs, destroy their intergity in the eyes of their fellow countrymen, and make them a criminal tribe as done before by bigots like Nehru, Patel, Trivedi, Govalkar, Pant, Charan Singh, V. P. Sinh, Chandrashekhar, and Balram Jhakhar, who said that “to preserve the unity of India, if we have to eradicate 2-kror or 20 millions Sikhs, we will do so”, according to Sardar Amarjit Singh Khalsa, Spokesperson, Panthic Committee. Such defamation is aided by the Sikh quislings Pratap Singh Kairon, Giani Kartar Singh, Kuldip Brar, K. P. Gill, Beant Sinh, Surjit Barnala, Harchand Singh Longowal, Darshan Singh Ragi, Umrao Singh, Rajinder Singh Sparrow (Grewal), Zail Sinh, Giani Kirpal Singh, K. P. Gill, Inspector-General (Prisons) Katoch, Khushwant Singh, Patwant Singh, Jagjit Singh Arora (who justified the Operation Black Thunder) and many non-Sikhs like J. F. Reibero, Gen. Vaidhya, H. K. L. Bhagat, and army officer Ishar Khan, to name a few.

Sikhs Are Slaves Under Indian Rule

Freedom Lies in the Heart of the Sikh Nation

Dear Chief Minister Badal:

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH!

The corruption in India is starting to boil over.  Activist Anna Hazare, yoga guru Baba Ramdev, and their followers were forcibly removed from the Gandhi cremation site after “hundreds of people” gathered in Delhi to hear Hazare condemn the police crackdown against Baba Ramdev, who continues his fast in his home town of Haridwar, according to the BBC.  Mr. Hazare also held a fast against corruption in April.  Baba Ramdev is demanding the return of bribe money held overseas.

Honest people have joined hands to speak out about corruption.  The people of India are fed up with the corruption, bribery, and the accumulation of dirty money by the ruling class.  Congress Party leader Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul were recently seen in Switzerland taking care of their secret Swiss bank account where they keep their black money.

What a shame for the Gandhi family and the Congress Party, who claim to be the representatives of the people.  While 80 to 90 percent of the population lives on less than a dollar a day, the Gandhis have billions of dollars stashed away in accounts outside India.  They should bring that money back to India to invest in development, education, health, and other needs of the Indian people.  That would be the right and wise thing to do.

It is a shame that the leadership of the Akali Dal, you and the Badal family, fall into the same category.  You have also accumulated large amounts of black money through corruption.  It is also stashed away in other countries, like the money of the Gandhis.  Your son Sukhbir recently opened a massive hotel of over 1,000 rooms in Gurgaon (Haryana), a suburb of Delhi, worth thousands of crores of rupees.  He didn't even open the hotel in Punjab and create jobs in Punjab.  Where did the money come from?  The obvious answer is corruption.

It was well known that your late wife, Surinder Kaur, could tell just how much money was in a bag just by lifting it. This is how deeply the corruption is rooted.  That money was collected selling jobs to the people of Punjab.  Even driver jobs were sold for black money.  The whole government machinery was so corrupt they had a name for bribery.  It was called “fee for service.”  When the Chief Minister is corrupt, the government officials below tend to become corrupt also.

Mr. Badal, you are in your 80s.  You have serious health problems.  We wish you a long life, but like all human beings, you will eventually die.  All that money you have accumulated did not help your wife escape death.

It is time for you, Mr. Badal, to do your introspection.  You should do your job honestly and earn your living by an honest day's work.  As leader of the Akali Dal, you must be aware of the Sikh code of conduct: Nam japna, kirat karni, wand shakna. (Pray in the morning; earn a living honestly with your own hands; share with the needy.)  You have betrayed this code.  You have accumulated very large amounts of money by corruption and bribes.  That money will not go with you.  It will remain here when you go.

There is nothing wrong with making large sums of money by honest means.  You have not done so by honest means.  My advice to you and your son Sukhbir is to listen, learn, and help the people of Punjab to come out of poverty by investing in industry, education, health, and their other needs so that people can prosper.

Mr. Badal, you are aware that Sikhs are very hard-working people who feed India.  According to the Tribune (Chandigarh), Sikhs provide about 50 percent of India's national wheat pool and 40 percent of the national rice pool, even though Punjab is only 1.3 percent of the area of India and Sikhs comprise only two percent of the population.  Yet Sikh farmers are heavily debt-ridden and are committing suicide at an alarming rate.  The people are under the control of the dishonest leaders because the leaders keep them poor by providing a subsistence level of food at a price of Rs3 per kilo.  They do not even get the cost of production for their produce.  Please use the resources of Punjab to rectify these conditions so that Punjab can be a prosperous state again, instead of storing huge amounts of money away out of the country for your personal use. Punjab is the land of the Gurus and the people who live there should not have to be hungry and deprived  of the basic necessities of life.  Sikh farmers must be free to sell their crops at fair prices on the world market.

Mr. Badal, I hope you will not take this as criticism, but as a wake-up call.  These are the sad facts about the situation in Punjab.

As a Sikh, you always recite “Raj Kare Ga Khalsa.”  Without political power, the Sikh Nation cannot progress and the Sikh religion cannot thrive.  As long as we remain under the slavery of India, it will continue its efforts to eradicate the Sikh religion.  In Punjab, there is no freedom.  As the late General Narinder Singh said, “Punjab is a police state.”  We need to free Khalistan, as declared by the Sikh Nation on October 7, 1987.

You have tested your power with the Indian government.  They refused to change the punishment of Professor Bhullar, who was sentenced to death, despite the combined efforts of your government, the opposition, the SGPC, and the international Sikh community.  The whole Sikh Nation cannot change the sentence of Professor Bhullar to life imprisonment.  Dara Singh and others, the murderers of two Christian missionaries from Australia, were not hanged.  When 20,000 Sikhs were murdered at the behest of the Indian government, no one was punished.  Yet Professor Bhullar was sentenced to death for killing one person who had a hand in the murders of thousands of Sikhs in Punjab.  It wasn't even a unanimous decision of the Supreme Court.  Yet the whole Sikh Nation acting in unison can't get this reduced.  This shows how India subjugates the Sikh Nation and people.  If you can't even get one man's sentence reduced, then what kind of power do you have?  If you want real power, you should support freedom for the Sikh Nation in a sovereign, independent Khalistan.

India is not one nation, but many nations thrown together under one rule for administrative convenience.   Such countries are doomed to fall apart, as Austria-Hungary, the Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia, and Yugoslavia show.  America's Central Intelligence Agency reported that by 2015, it expects that India will disintegrate and become many countries.  The only solution for the Sikh Nation is an independent Khalistan.  We have seen the treatment of the Sikhs by the Indian regime for over 60 years.  At this point, it isn't going to change.  We have been discriminated against, tortured, murdered, and generally mistreated to wipe out the Sikh religion.  They even try to deny its existence by proclaiming Sikhism a branch of Hinduism.  The Hindu government of India wants minorities either subservient to Hinduism or completely wiped out.  In spite of the fact that the religions believe completely opposite things, Hindus desire to engulf Sikhism just as they did with Jainism and Buddhism in India.  As a Sikh leader, it is incumbent upon you to help free the people you lead from this oppression.  Always remember our heritage.  We must end the corruption and rededicate ourselves to the cause of freedom.  Without a free Khalistan, the Sikh Nation does not have any future.  Let us join hands to free Khalistan.  Khalistan Zindabad!

Their heads are too large or too small, their limbs too short or too bent. For some, their brains never grew, speech never came and their lives are likely to be cut short: these are the children it appears that India would rather the world did not see, the victims of a scandal with potential implications far beyond the country’s borders………………………

Health workers in the Punjabi cities of Bathinda and Faridkot knew something was terribly wrong when they saw a sharp increase in the number of birth defects, physical and mental abnormalities, and cancers. They suspected that children were being slowly poisoned.

But it was only when a visiting scientist arranged for tests to be carried out at a German laboratory that the true nature of their plight became clear. The results were unequivocal. The children had massive levels of uranium in their bodies, in one case more than 60 times the maximum safe limit.

The results were both momentous and mysterious………………..if a few hundred children – spread over a large area – were contaminated, how many thousands more might also be affected? Those are questions the Indian authorities appear determined not to answer. Staff at the clinics say they were visited and threatened with closure if they spoke out. The South African scientist whose curiosity exposed the scandal says she has been warned by the authorities that she may not be allowed back into the country.But an Observer investigation has now uncovered disturbing evidence to suggest a link between the contamination and the region’s coal-fired power stations………………………

India’s reluctance to acknowledge the problem is hardly unexpected: the country is heavily committed to an expansion of thermal plants in Punjab and other states. Neither was it any surprise when a team of scientists from the Department of Atomic Energy visited the area and concluded that while the concentration of uranium in drinking water was “slightly high”, there was “nothing to worry” about. Yet some tests recorded levels of uranium in the ground water as high as 224mcg/l (micrograms per litre) – 15 times higher than the safe level of 15mcg/l recommended by the WHO. (The US Environmental Protection Agency sets a maximum safe level of 20mcg/l.)…………………………

There have also been claims that the contamination may have been exacerbated by depleted uranium carried on the wind from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. At a seminar in Amritsar in April, Admiral Vishnu Bhagwat, a former chief of the naval staff, suggested that areas within a 1,000-mile radius of Kabul – including Punjab – may be affected by depleted uranium. Although the prevailing monsoon winds blow either from the north-east or the south-west, there are times when a depression originating in the Mediterranean can result in rainfall in Punjab.

Sikh Guru Sahiban consider the whole world as His family, and they inspire the Sikhs to behave toward it like a family; this is a part of their Message. They also stress on falling in love with only one Creator by getting out of duality once for all. Sixth and Tenth Nanaks had to fight in self defense, but never ever they broke the rules of treating the world as His family; this suggests how our Guru Sahiban dealt carefully with worldly conflicts. In this book, based on and supported by Guru–thought, an appeal is made to all Sikhs to develop universal mind, and get out of small holes of mentality that do nothing but divide humanity. Guru Nanak Dev Ji accepts only one path to realize the Creator, and that is to involve with Him and praise Him. Nonetheless, he also stresses on looking at various faiths and ideologies as a part of His Will; in other words, it is all right to support a free will of the people, who are living in His Will literally; regardless whatever they say, they say as per His Will. There are passionate people, and there are cruel people in this world. We can sever our relations with selfish and cruel people without hating their existence; we should not make them a subject of slandering. Treating His big family like our own doesn’t mean we should support tyranny or ill intentional behavior of others in submissiveness; we should rather resist it to keep goodness in His show. If evil people exist in His will, so do the virtuous people. As our Guru guides us, we support goodness. Self defense is naturally programmed in the body; that is the reason that it reacts toward any attack if it occurs on it. For instance, automatically our hands come out to protect our body if we face an attack; when the birds or animals overwhelmed with the “feeling of a threat,” they get ready to bite or attack. He has blessed everyone with this kind of awareness of survival (self–defense). Being humans, we need to act in self defense if our lives are threatened. Our Guru Sahiban have shown us how to do that. Anyone, who doesn’t want to listen to what the Guru says, is free to do whatever his or her thinking guides because that will be also His Will. We should just try to pass on Guru Message to those who are ready to listen.

People out there on the internet, question about Sikh Gurus’ preaching by saying that they themselves didn’t implement their teachings; for instance they ask why Gurus Sahiban, who spoke against caste, didn’t marry their off spring in lower castes, and while asking others to “work hard and give it away,” why they never worked hard to give away to the needy. These questions are a display of shallow knowledge of the questioners about Sikh Guru Sahiban and Gurbani. Without knowing circumstances of Sikh Guru Sahiban during their physical presence on the Earth, such people, with their own small–minded agendas, are merely into insulting by posing as Sikh–seekers. The Guru Ji questioned Caste system in those times when down trodden people wouldn’t even be allowed to worship on religious places. To speak against castes doesn’t need marrying off springs into so called lower castes; many of these people cannot even realize how it was difficult for a lower caste to seek relations in upper class and survive. After Tenth Nanak’s Amrit ceremony event, a big roar was created by high caste believers against it because through it, Tenth Nanak leveled the wall of castes. (Gursobha, by Sonepat).

They forget that Guru Nanak Dev Ji personally worked as a clerk, Buffalo care–takers and a farmer. No other founder of a religion worked as hard as Guru Nanak Dev Ji did before him or after him. All other Guru Sahiban worked hard to bring harmony in the society, to help people in the time of famine and other natural disasters, and to teach self defense in time of danger. When a business needs to be taken care of, the owners though do not work physically on business premises, they put all efforts in it to take care of its existence; it is also deemed hard work. Working hard doesn’t mean that the business owners need to work hard physically in the business! There is manual hard work, and there is also mental hard work too. Childish questions can come only from childish minds. Sikh Guru Sahiban were spiritually enlightened leaders; they did what they should have. These are false accusations on Sikh Guru Sahiban obviously by those (who pose as Sikhs on different sites) who intend to promote a different agenda. Their baseless claim about Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s advice on “His Name Simran” as “an ambiguous statement” proves that they do not know Gurbani, and they remain busy in leveling false accusations against Sikh Guru Sahiban and Bhagatas, because “Naam Simran” is well elaborated in many ways in Sri Guru Granth Sahib. These are the people, who keep saying that Guru Nanak Dev Ji wrote in Hindi (as a proof they want hand written note of Guru Nanak Dev Ji); they are so ignorant that they do not know that people do not write in Hindi but in its script “Devnagari.” They just cannot understand that in Sri Guru Granth Sahib, there is a Bani named “Patti,” that defines “Gurmukhi script–letters.” Sikhs need to deal with such people carefully and forgive them as ignorant, and ignore totally what they say. They are also members of His big family, never forget that. That is the reason I have referred their ignorant questioning.

My effort is to deal with the current situations by understanding Guru Message to tread on that path Guru Nanak Dev Ji laid out for us. I have taken support from Gurbani by keeping “the concept of Guru Message” in my mind. Here and there, I have tried to discuss some issues I faced some time in my life, but their reference are given in the book solely to make clear the concept of Guru Message. Time to time, some people have been opposing virtuous ideologies; it has been happening like this since the beginning of History (or before that), but the true Sikhs should remain focus on what Sri Guru Granth Sahib says. They should live according to Guru–teachings. In the beginning, let me state that the Guru shown path will appear very difficult to follow because our Guru asks us to feel detached from what is shown as “dear and necessary” in our society. Nonetheless, when “feeling detached to Maya” becomes understandable in pursuit of the union with Him, the Guru–shown path will become a way of life, and it will fill the life with joy as it becomes free from worries and anxieties.

||1||{647} Salok of Third Nanak:

In Essence : Guru–teachings are for the whole world; who are true followers of the Guru, they feel fear/respect of the Creator, and search themselves (analyze their purpose of life and try to find His presence within), and then with the Guru, they become detached being alive. Thus, by convincing their minds, they believe in Him. 

I feel, Third Nanak uses the word “Mahapurakh/Great man” for the Guru, and in the end of the Saloka, he talks about believing in the Creator by having full respect and fear for Him. And “man hi te man mania” means they believe in Him by convincing their minds through the Guru; the next following Vaaka makes it clear that it is about believing in the Guru–teachings and Him.

Jin ka–o man kee parteet naahee naanak say ki–aa katheh gi–aanai. ||1||{647} 

In Essence : Nanak says those who have no faith (in the Guru and Akalpurakh), there is no use of expounding divine knowledge to such people?

(Some interpreters interpret above Vaakas like this, “Those people, who have no faith in their minds, how they can expound divine knowledge?” I disagree with them. If we go through earlier Vaakas of this Saloka, Guru expresses about the importance of Guru–blessings; therefore the word “parteet/trust/faith” expresses about the faith in the Guru and Akalpurakh.)

In above Guru – Vaaka, it is stressed that when the believers realize the importance of their coming into this world, through the Guru, they get detached from the Maya. They have fear of Akalpurakh (Fear here also means respect that comes out of fear). If one doesn’t have faith either in Guru or Akalpurakh, there is no use of imparting Guru knowledge to such a person. In other words, if the people have interests in different pursuits, they will prefer their pursuits to Guru–guidance; let them enjoy what they want to; it is not necessary to try to convince them. (believe in His “Will”)
